The island of Corfu is a popular destination for Mediterranean cruises. The New Port of Corfu is located directly in Corfu Town. It offers its visitors a diverse mix of nature and vibrant city life. With a population of 105,000, Corfu is the second-largest of the Ionian Islands and the seventh-largest in Greece. Just over 32,000 people live in Corfu Town. In the north, the island is only 2 km away from Albania. Corfu receives plenty of rainfall, resulting in lush vegetation, which is why it is rightfully called the 'Green Island.' The old town of Corfu is perfect for strolling and shopping.

The New Port of Corfu (Neo Limani) is a major Mediterranean hub located just a few kilometers from the charming Old Town. It features a modern cruise terminal where passengers find tourist information, shops, and free Wi-Fi. 

The old town is easily accessible on foot. As you exit the port, turn left and walk along the seafront until you reach the New Fortress, which marks the beginning of the old town. Depending on your pace, the walk takes approximately 30 minutes.

A little tip: on the right side of the road, there is a small shop selling beautiful handmade magnets. It is located right next to a petrol station.

Most cruise lines offer shuttle buses to the old town for a fee, which typically costs around €10.

Bus line 15 connects the old town of Corfu with the airport and the cruise port. You can view all bus lines, connections, and fares here. Please note that tickets purchased from the vending machines are cheaper than those bought directly on the bus

The red CitySightseeing double-decker buses also operate on Corfu. There are two routes available: the red route and the blue route. You can download the route maps here. From April to October, there is a very frequent service, while in winter, the service is more limited and usually depends on whether cruise ships are in port. You can purchase your tickets in advance online here.

There is a Corfu Taxi station located right at the cruise terminal. The company offers four different tours, which you can view here. Please note that prices are available upon request.
